"Perceived As Equals are made up of members of several bands (Bateman, Block VII, Cleaver, G-Nome, New Pollution, Sidewinder, Small Talk and Tel Quel) that have an interwoven history together. Band members have performed on stage with each other, seen each other play, or supported each other.
Finally coming together in October 2006, PAE are mixing metal, rock, blues, jazz, beats.... They hope to sound like nothing on Earth, whilst still retaining an edge of familiarity....
An alternative rock band with diverse influences, from Machine Head to Massive Attack to Miles Davis via Faith No More.
PAE have been likened to a cross between Massive Attack and Guns N Roses.
Crushing at times, soft and bouncy at others, melodic always.
